Today, we have our Intel Xeon 6900P series video. This is a big launch for Intel since it is the first time they have been core-for-core competitive with AMD in half a decade. Of course, we have a video for this one as well.

Intel Xeon 6900P Granite Rapids-AP: The Video

Here is the Intel Xeon 6900P Granite Rapids-AP video:

As always, we suggest opening the video in its own tab, browser, or app for the best viewing experience.

In the video, we go into just some additional thoughts on the chips, the overall Intel Xeon 6 family, competitive aspects against AMD EPYC, and more. There is also a bit more B-roll on the system, and some of the chips including some of the other Intel Xeon 6 chips that will be launching in Q1 2025.

Intel had the chips out at an event we attended last week, so we were able to grab some quick B-roll. That was important since we simply did not have time to take apart our system over the weekend, as it was running workloads. The core-to-core latency on the full 512-threaded system, for example, started one evening and took over 24 hours to run.

Final Words

This video will be added to the main Intel Xeon 6900P launch article. While most of our audience either reads, or watches, there are folks that do both. Please accept my apology for this one being a bit behind.

We wanted this to go live at 8AM on launch day, but here we are. The last ten days have been rough: Six flights, eight 4AM to 11:30PM days (two more starting at 3AM) working on Granite Rapids and an enormous upcoming project. Unfortunately, this meant that our video recorded on Sunday/ Monday was not ready for Tuesday morning at 8AM.
