AMD EPYC 3000 Products
We have benchmarked a number of AMD EPYC 3000 systems. That includes the AMD EPYC 3251, AMD EPYC 3201, AMD EPYC 3101, and the AMD EPYC 3151 numbers will be published soon. We have been awaiting this embedded series ever since we covered the launch in AMD EPYC Embedded 3000 Series Launch Watch Out Xeon D.
Supermicro AMD EPYC 3000 Platforms at Embedded World 2019
Here are the two Supermicro AMD EPYC 3000 platforms at Embedded World 2019:
If you want to see more about the platforms’ motherboards, STH already published its Supermicro M11SDV-8C-LN4F Review and testing of both appliances is already complete.
iEi AMD EPYC 3000 Platforms at Embedded World 2019
The iEi Puzzle has the distinction of being the first AMD EPYC 3000 platform shown to STH. See Piecing Together the iEi Puzzle AMD EPYC 3000 Spotted in the Wild.
This network platform was again present in the AMD Embedded booth.
iBASE AMD EPYC 3000 Platforms at Embedded World 2019
iBase had an AMD EPYC 3000 based appliance, the iBase FWA8800. This 1U networking appliance has a form factor to allow front panel NIC cards.
One can see this unit has RAM and PCIe lanes that are half placed. Presumably, the model shown only has a single die AMD EPYC 3000 part. Should a dual die solution be required, we can see pads for additional RAM and PCIe placements.
Congatech AMD EPYC 3000 Platforms at Embedded World 2019
In a COM Express Type 7 module, Congatech had an AMD EPYC 3000 platform.
One can see that Congatech is deploying the 4x 10GbE on a single-die AMD EPYC 3000 platform. One can also see designs for up to 100W which aligns with dual-die EPYC 3000 parts.
TUL AMD Embedded GPUs at Embedded World 2019
Chalk this one up to I did not know that AMD had embedded GPUs, but the segment makes sense. TUL is the manufacturer of the three GPUs based on AMD for the embedded market:
These seem to be mostly targeted at multi-output embedded products for features like support for between four and six monitors.
