At Autodesk University Lenovo launched three new powerful workstations for design and engineering professionals. The Lenovo ThinkStation P520, P520c, and P52s cover the spectrum of high-end desktop workstations to mobile powerhouses.
New Lenovo ThinkStation P520 and P520c Workstations
For the desktop workstation market the Lenovo ThinkStation P520 and ThinkStation P520c are single-CPU mainstream tower workstations focused on scalability. These new workstations feature the Intel Xeon W CPUs with 4 to up to 18 cores in a single socket. For many users upgrading from older systems, this can mean moving from a dual socket system to a single socket system with better per-core performance.
In terms of segmentation, the Lenovo ThinkStation P520 is the flagship single socket model that can be equipped with high-end Xeon W CPUs and NVIDIA Quadro graphics that can be certified by ISVs for professional applications. The Lenovo ThinkStation P520c is a slimmed down offering that offers a more cost-effective workstation in the market.

Lenovo ThinkPad P52s Mobile Workstation
The new ThinkPad P52s is Lenovo’s thinnest and lightest quad-core mobile workstation. The mobile workstation “is designed for a wide range of professionals who spend life on-the-go and need the power, ISV certifications and battery life to keep going along with advanced biometric security features to protect their hard work as well” according to Lenovo.
